Personalized Pediatric Care in Katy, Texas
Please contact our Pediatric Center for an appointment as soon as you think your child might need to be seen. We will see sick children the same day you call, but please understand if there is a wait in the office for these visits. We know it is important to see same-day sick appointments for illnesses that seem to pop up over night including but not limited to the stomach bug, influenza, strep throat, ear infections and the common cold.
Immunizations, growth and development monitoring, nutrition and fitness, as well as illness prevention are all included in well child visits. We encourage you to call as early as possible to schedule a well visit, this is especially important to make sure your child receives their vaccines at the recommended age.
In order for our doctors to fill out a school/sport/camp form, your child must be up to date on his/her checkups. Many of the evaluations your child goes through during a required school or sport physical are the same as routine physicals, however, sometimes they require more or less information.
Most physicals include:
- Child’s medical history
- Vaccine and immunization updates
- A physical examination
- Prescription medication updates
- Height and weight information
- Overall health check
Whether your child is needing developmental, vision or hearing screenings we provide each of these services. Developmental screenings help identify cognitive, communication, motor, and social-emotional delays that affect your child’s development. Our team works through questionnaires or checklists to assess your child’s development depending on the result your pediatrician may recommend additional testing or a treatment plan. Our pediatric providers perform a vision and hearing screening at every well-child visit to check for early signs of hearing or sight problems. If your child needs further evaluation or treatment, they will refer your child to a specialist.
